Dr. Coats received his DO degree from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio. He completed an Internal Medicine residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. Ā He has also completed fellowships in Cardiovascular Diseases at the University of Missouri Columbia and Interventional Cardiology at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. Ā Dr. Coats is in practice at Central Missouri Cardiology in Jefferson City, Missouri. Ā He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Coats is board certified in Interventional Cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine/Interventional Cardiology and in Vascular Medicine and Endovascular Medicine by the American Board of Vascular Medicine and Endovascular Medicine.
