Join Timothy P. Kowalski, M.A., CCC-SLP, and learn how individuals diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome present with significant deficits in Emotional Intelligence (EQ), on both personal and social levels. We will explore Asperger’s syndrome impact on personal EQ competencies, such as self-awareness, self-regulation and self-motivation and social EQ competencies, such as social awareness and social skills. Suggested intervention strategies will also be included. As a result, you will be able to develop more appropriate goals and produce true positive change in these individuals to allow them greater confidence when presented with the complexities of a social society.
