Teresa Martin is a mother of 3 children and lives in Bend, OR. Ā She is also a Registered Dietitian with over 29 years of experience in the field of nutrition including clinical nutrition, community nutrition, diabetes research and most currently as a diabetes educator for Novo Nordisk. Ā Over the last 16 years, Teresa has specialized in the field of diabetes and as a Certified Diabetes Educator; she helps individuals with diabetes gain the skills they need to better manage their diabetes so they can live the life they want to live and she helps healthcare professionals get the resources and training they need to provide quality, compassionate diabetes care. Ā Teresa was recently recognized for her work by the American Association of Diabetes Educators of Oregon when she received the Diabetes Educator of the Year 2017 and Distinguished Service Award 2015. Teresa was an All-American Volleyball Player and All-American Alpine Ski Racer in College and continues to stay active playing competitive beach volleyball. Teresa values utilizing the outdoors, mindfulness, and the power of communities to help individuals find their path to a healthier, happier life.
