Matt Shoemaker, DO, practices in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the Medical Specialists of Southeast Missouri and is the Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of SoutheastHealth, also in Cape Girardeau. Ā He serves as the Director of Student Medical Education at Southeastern Missouri Area Health Education Center and is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor for the Department of Internal Medicine at ATSU-KCOM. Ā Dr. Shoemaker is originally from Piedmont, Missouri and graduated from Mizzou with bachelor’s degrees in Philosophy and Biology. Ā He earned his doctor of osteopathy degree from Kansas City University – College of Osteopathic Medicine (formerly UHS-COM) in 2000. Ā Dr. Shoemaker completed residency and an Infectious Diseases Fellowship at University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, MO. Ā He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and in Infectious Diseases.
Dr. Shoemaker discloses that he is on the speaker’s bureau for Sanofi Pasteur in the area of vaccines.
