This presentation will discuss the application of osteopathic principles in clinical practice management of dermatological conditions. Ā OMM training is needed to facilitate mastery of the osteopathic principles and practice competencies outlined in the osteopathic recognition residency requirements for faculty and residents.

- Describe the rationale for the inclusion of OMM in the management of dermatological conditions
- Demonstrate OMT techniques that are suitable for the adjunctive care of dermatological conditions

Karen Snider, DO, FAAO, FNAOME, is a professor at A.T. Still University’s Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM). Ā Dr. Snider is board certified in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. Ā She earned her doctor of osteopathic medicine from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, and she completed residency at Northeast Regional Medical Center. Ā Dr. Snider has earned fellowship awards from the American Academy of Osteopathy and the National Academy of Osteopathic Medical Educators.

Dr. David Cleaver graduated from ATSU-ĀKCOM in 2006. He completed his training at the Michigan State University -Ā St. Joseph Mercy Hospital and returned to Kirksville to join his father’s practice, Cleaver Dermatology, in 2010.
Dr. Cleaver is currently an associate professor of dermatology at ATSU-ĀKCOM. He is the President Elect of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology. He is also the current program director for the dermatology residency training program at Northeast Regional Medical Center – Still OPTI. Ā He is board certified by the AOBD in dermatology and Mohs surgery. He practices general dermatology, Mohs surgery, dermatological surgery, and cosmetic dermatology.

Jonathan Cleaver, D.O.Related seminars and products: 1
Dr. Jonathan Cleaver is a native of Kirksville, Missouri, and dermatologist at Cleaver Dermatology. He earned a bachelor of science degree in health science and a minor in biology from Truman State University and doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from ATSU-ĀKCOM. Upon completion of his dermatology residency and a Mohs Surgical Fellowship, Dr. Cleaver joined ATSU-ĀKCOM in 2012 as an associate professor of dermatology and became adjunct clinical assistant professor for dermatology in 2017. He is an ATSU-ĀKCOM medical student preceptor and an attending dermatology faculty member and director of surgery for Northeast Regional Medical Center-ĀStill Opti’s Dermatology Residency Program.

Lloyd Cleaver, DORelated seminars and products: 1
Dr. Lloyd Cleaver, D.O. was born in Macon, Missouri. He completed his training at the San Diego Navy Regional Medical Center and served with the Navy and Navy Reserves. Dr. Cleaver and his
wife, Kathy, returned to Kirksville in 1985 and founded the Cleaver Dermatology Clinic in 1986. Dr. Cleaver has three sons who have joined him at Cleaver Dermatology – David, Jonathan, and Nathan. He founded a dermatology residency training program in 1991 and served as the Program Director until 2015. In 2015, he founded a Mohs Surgery Fellowship where he currently serves as Program Director.
Dr. Cleaver is currently a professor of dermatology at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine/A.T.Still University and the Assistant Vice President of Continuing Education. He has been Vice-Chair and is currently serving as Secretary/Treasurer to the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology. He has also served as President of the Kirksville Osteopathic Alumni Association and President of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology.

Dr. Baydon Hilton, Northeast Regional Medical Center Dermatology resident, is married to Brittany, and they have 4 children. He enjoys spending time with his family, exercising, and eating homebaked goods. Baydon and his family have lived in Kirksville MO for the last 6 years, and anticipate being in their current location for the next 3 years while he finishes residency.

Dr. Jazmine Nesvik is a PGY-Ā1 resident in the traditional rotating internship program at Northeast Regional Medical Center. She will be continuing her residency here in dermatology at Cleaver Dermatology beginning July 2020. She is a graduate of Lincoln Memorial University -Ā Debusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee and is originally from Alexandria, Minnesota.
