Learning Objectives:

1. Define antimicrobial stewardship
2. Review antimicrobial prescribing habits in the outpatient setting
3. Recognize potential ramifications of inappropriate antimicrobial use
4. Analyze the four core elements of outpatient antimicrobial stewardship
5. Assess common outpatient infectious disease states and incorporate antimicrobial stewardship strategies into clinical practice.

Dr. Jared Heiles graduated from the University Of Tennessee College Of Pharmacy in 2016.   After graduation, he completed a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN, then a PGY2 Infectious Diseases pharmacy residency at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, NV.   In his spare time, Jared enjoys music, sports, cooking, and spending time with his wife, Elizabeth, and son, Henry.
