Sofia Abraham-Hardee D.O/ PhD received her B.S in Biology with a minor in Biochemistry from Bucknell University, Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. She completed a post baccalaureate program from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She received her osteopathic medical degree from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2007. She also completed her PhD in International Health Education from Virginia Tech in 2008. She completed her pediatric internship and residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania in June 2011. Dr. Abraham-Hardee is a board certified pediatrician and Medical Director at New Beginning Pediatrics in Blacksburg, VA and is Department Chair of Pediatrics and Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, Virginia campus.
She was awarded the Golden Apple award 2014-2015 and 2018-2019. She was also awarded 2013, 2017, 2018 and 2019 Best Bedside Manner in Our Health Magazine. Dr. Hardee currently practices at New Beginning Pediatrics and serves as the Chair of Pediatrics at the VCOM-VA campus.
