This DVD is a street self-defense training program using the Russian martial art of Sambo with French master Hervé Gheldman. Master Hervé Gheldman is a martial artist with over 41 years of experience in the professional security field. In 1991, the master went to Russia to learn the fighting techniques of the martial art of Sambo, the homeland of famous MMA fighters such as Fedor Emelianenko and Oleg Taktarov.

The martial arts training method in this DVD is new and pragmatic. In the opinion of the martial arts master Sambo should not only be confined and encapsulated in one form but must be continuously developed.

Hervé Gheldman, presents a video based on self-defense for all, also applicable to security professionals. This is not intended to replace courses but undeniably remains an interesting and complementary support for any learning. Hervé Gheldman has been practicing martial arts for 41 years. He shares with you in this video his experience, after many years of competition and internships around the world.

You will find in the first part of the video a sample of defense techniques with and without weapons in an urban environment, filmed from different angles, passed in real speed and in slow motion, then explained in their context by the author.
The second part is a dojo course with new techniques explained in detail; this will allow you to work on a good technical basis.

Today specialized in the arts of free combat, Hervé Gheldman develops his system, a pure product of Sambo. Since 1991, he went to Russia to perfect the mastery of the art of Combat-Russian, a discipline so well highlighted by fighters such as Oleg Taktarov and Fedor Emelianenko.

His Sambo method is a modern art which, unlike many other disciplines, is not frozen in form but on the contrary always in full evolution. Sambo belongs to fighters in all their forms: sport, self-defense, for the little ones, the big ones, the strong, the weak … for everyone.

There are as many Sambo as there are fighters, and each, starting from well-studied principles, will have to discover their own system according to their personality.
