Creating Sound-Healing Journeys – Bodhi Starwater
New 7-Week Live Video Course Starts
Wednesday, October 16, 2024
Learn to design deeply transformative sound-healing experiences for yourself and others — whether you’re a novice or seasoned musician — as you acquire musical skills in a variety of instruments and enhance your intuitive process.
Blend the vibrational power of instruments together — including Tibetan and crystal bowls and many more — and infuse your being, instruments, and sacred space with the beneficial and balancing properties of nature’s five elements.
Would you like to learn how to create beautiful, nurturing, sound-healing journeys? To bring yourself and others into a state of deep relaxation and lure people into the present moment, where the rest of the world — and current challenges and worries — fall away?
Would you like to be able to carry yourself and others into an altered level of consciousness — a space in which awareness is heightened and clarity and transformation can occur — through the power of vibrational medicine?
Even if you have no musical experience whatsoever, you can gain the knowledge — and cultivate the musicianship, presence, intuition, intention, and skill it takes — to design powerfully healing immersive sonic experiences to uplift and guide people into a harmonious state of flow and perfect alignment.
Bodhi Starwater, sound healer, musician, and author, creates exquisite sound-healing journeys, and he’s eager to teach you how you can, too.
He offers you his extensive experience, breadth of wisdom, and unique approach of integrating the power of the five elements to orchestrate effective and beautiful healings with the instruments you can gather.
Bodhi has been working with sound meditation, sound healing, and sacred sound journeys for more than 40 years, having trained with Tito La Rosa, Paul Horn, Allaudin Mathieu, and many other artists around the globe.
Over the decades, he’s added many instruments to his orchestra, including conch shell, charango, guitar, Tibetan bowls, feathers, keyboards, drums, rattles. And exotic flutes from around the world. His music is used in yoga studios, health spas, and health care practitioner offices and has been heard by millions on multiple streaming sites.
He teaches privately and publicly, and now YOU have an opportunity to join him for a highly informative and experiential hour-long event, where he’ll walk you through his process of creating what he calls “sonic ceremonies.”
Bodhi’s sound healings are unique in that he incorporates the energies of five natural elements, (earth, water, fire, air, and ether).
He says we are all made up of these elements, and when they’re balanced within us, we’re at peace.
So, depending on his intention for any given sound bath, he integrates the elements in distinct ways to create the most powerful combination of sounds that will balance the music and your system.
How does this work? Take a look at the various elements, the internal experiences they awaken, the sound-healing principles they represent, and which instruments correspond best with each:
Ether, representing the principle of intention, creates a sense of spaciousness and clarity, using the voice and drone
Fire, representing the principle of entrainment, inspires transformation and purification — and activates energy, movement, clearing, and releasing — using the rattle and gong
Water, representing the principle of cymatics, stimulates fluidity and flow, promoting emotional healing and relaxation, using Tibetan and crystals bowls and the ocean drum
Earth, representing the principle of binaural* and isochronic beats, brings stability, grounding, and a sense of calm and presence, using the drum and didgeridoo
Air, representing the sound-healing principle of harmonics, represents openness and expansion, promoting a sense of freedom and lightness of being, using the flute and feather
*For an in-depth definition of binaural beats and its uses in meditation, please read this disclaimer.
The great art and skill is harmonizing them all together — and Bodhi can show you exactly how to do that and establish a sacred container for deeply personal and specifically directed experiences to take place.
Join Bodhi in his new 7-week live video course, in which he’ll teach you how to play a variety of sound-healing instruments…
… infuse yourself, the space, and the instruments with the power of the elements…
… and put them all together to design intentional sonic ceremonies, uniquely tailored to align with your intuitive hit about what you and your listeners need in the moment.
During the program, you’ll have the opportunity to practice (and Bodhi will demonstrate) a wide variety of instruments — harmonica, voice, rattle, gong, singing bowls, various drums, bells, guitar, charango, didgeridoo, feathers, and flutes.
And, don’t worry if you don’t have all — or even any — of these instruments! As the course progresses, you can decide which instruments you want to acquire and eventually master to offer the most effective sound experiences

Practice the Ocean Wave Buddha Breath and a simple harmonica exercise
Module 2: The Element of Ether to Connect With Your Inner Wisdom & Intuition (October 23)
As you bring the Indigenous concept of the “directions” into your practice, begin in the center with the element of ether.
Ether is the element of space and infinite potential. It’s the most subtle of the elements and represents the space in which all other elements exist.
It doesn’t have the movement of wind, the heat of fire, the coolness of water, nor the firmness of earth. It’s “akasha,” the sky — boundless, formless, completely free. Ether is the beginning of All, holds All together, and moves through All.
This is where you find your inner music. Explore ways to work with ether within the context of sound healing, and discover how it can help you connect with your inner wisdom and intuition.
It’s here that all things begin and it’s here that you begin your journey.
In this session, you’ll:
Delve into the realm of ether, the fifth and most subtle element in sound healing
Understand the connection between sound, vibration, and the expansion of awareness
Experience techniques for using the drone, humming, and vocalizing with a simple vowel practice and chant
Develop the ability to incorporate ether practices into your sound-healing sessions
Module 3: The Element of Fire for Transformation, Purification, Vitality & Empowerment (October 30)
Move to the east and the element of fire — the place of the sunrise.
Known as Grandfather Fire in the Huichol tradition — an Indigenous community that resides in the Sierra Madre Mountains of Mexico — fire is the first healer. It’s the element of transformation and purification. It represents the energy of change and the power of the sun.
The element of fire in sound healing can help you release old patterns and beliefs that no longer serve you. It symbolizes death and transformation and opens the door for rebirth and renewal. It corresponds to vitality, courage, creativity, and motivation.
Through the use of instruments such as gongs and rattles, which have a strong percussive quality, the element of fire can be used to create energy and movement, purifying the container of your practice.
In this session, you’ll:
Discover the transformative power of the fire element in sound healing
Understand the relationship between sound, vibration, and energy activation in the context of the fire element
Explore instruments and techniques that resonate with fire, such as gongs and rattles
Develop the ability to incorporate the fire element into your sound-healing sessions to enhance vitality and empowerment
Learn techniques on the rattle and gong
Module 4: The Element of Water for Emotional Release, Healing & Deep Personal Expression (November 6)
Move to the south, the element of water — the ocean, rain, rivers, and streams. This gentle element represents emotional flow and the power of the moon.
The energy of water can provide a sense of calm and peacefulness in your life. When balanced, it offers a sense of emotional connection and openness, allowing you to flow with your emotions and express yourself more freely.
Combined, water and emotion move energy and information from one place to another. Water flows to the lowest level and, entering smoothly, fills any space. Mother Ocean is the birthplace of all living things on earth. She invites surrender and the allowing of our experiences, whether labeled positive or negative.
In sound healing, the element of water can be used to create a sense of relaxation through the use of instruments such as Tibetan and crystal bowls, rainsticks, and ocean drums, which have a gentle and soothing quality.
These sounds can release emotional blocks and help you find a sense of flow and ease in your life. Water has the power of beauty — to inspire growth and compassion. It’s a gentle and flowing force, representing fluidity and connection to the Divine Feminine.
In this session, you’ll:
Dive into the realm of water and its connection to emotions, healing, and the flow of energy in sound-healing practices
Understand the relationship between sound, vibration, and emotional release within the context of the water element
Explore instruments and techniques that resonate with water, such as singing bowls, ocean drum, bells, guitar, and charango
Learn how to harness the water element to support emotional healing and enhance empathy and intuition
Develop the ability to incorporate water practices into your sound-healing sessions to promote emotional balance and harmony
Module 5: The Element of Earth for Grounding, Stability, Balance & Nourishment (November 13)
Moving to the west and the element of earth, learn how earth has the quality of stability and grounding. It represents the physical body. The element of earth is associated with a sense of safety and inner security.
The energy of earth can also be used to release anxiety. Earth is represented physiologically in our bodies through minerals like zinc, potassium, and magnesium.
Earth is the element most associated with mountains, forests, and fields. The most stable of all the elements, it’s the body of the planet herself. It represents grounding and connection to your physical body and all living beings.
Through the earth element, you can connect to your collective past, all that transpired before your birth, and all that will continue after your death. Like a good mother, the earth element is nurturing, protective, and firm.
By working with instruments that have a deep and grounding quality, like the drum and didgeridoo, you can start to feel grounded and connected to your physical body.
In this session, you’ll:
Explore the earth element and its connection to stability, balance, and nourishment in sound healing
Understand the significance of resonance and grounding techniques in creating a strong foundation for healing
Experience the power of various instruments and tools that resonate with earth, such as drums and didjeridoo
Learn how to harness the earth element to enhance relaxation and reduce stress
Develop the ability to incorporate earth practices into your sound-healing sessions to promote overall wellbeing and self-care.
Module 6: The Element of Air for Higher Perspective, Increased Ease With Change, Better Communication & Improved Connection to the Shamanic Realms (November 20)
Moving to the north, come back to the breath and the element of air. Air is the element of movement and has the quality of freedom. It represents the power of the wind and the breath of life. This element is often associated with the sky and clouds.
Air is unstable, ungrounded, light, swift, and etheric. It offers a higher perspective. It’s through air that you’ll be able to connect to the upper realms of the shamanic world. The breath of life, and the breath in your lungs can guide you and help you reflect on your experience on earth.
Air is also the element of communication, new perspective, and the mind. It can act as a bridge between the earth and fire elements, as it connects physically with the burning of material. A fire can only burn as long as it has access to air.
Air is part of the transformation process that takes place within, enabling your ego and mind to burn away and be released — so the new can unfold. The air allows the process of burning to take place. Wind currents direct where the flow of water goes. Air stores and categorizes information, as does the mind.
In sound healing, the element of air can be used to create a sense of openness and expansion through the use of instruments such as flutes, feathers, and chimes, which have a light an
Module 7: Harmonizing the Elements to Create Potent Sound-Healing Experiences Tailored to Individual & Group Needs (December 4)
Learn basic music theory to harmonize the elements together in sound healing, crafting a balanced and transformative experience. Focus on all the elemental energies to design a sonic ceremony that flows naturally.
Understand the importance of using your intuition to guide sessions and create a space for deep healing and alignment.
Use key techniques and tools, including intention-setting, creating smooth transitions, incorporating stillness, establishing sound portals, performance, flow charts, and harmonious connections between instruments.
The goal is to create a healing journey tailored to individual and group needs.
In this session, you’ll:
Develop the skills to combine instruments, sounds, and techniques that resonate with each element in a sonic ceremony — to address imbalances and promote an overall sense of wellbeing
