Many older adults continue on unnecessary medications, or high risk medications. This session will address risks and benefits of deprescribing, and provide strategies, resources and tools that are available to aid in deprescribing.

Amy Busker graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy in 1999 with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree. She has worked for Fairview Pharmacy Services for 26 years. She received her Board Certification in Geriatric Pharmacy in 2011. She works with Fairview Partners and Geriatric Services, where she provides Medication Therapy Management (MTM) to patients in the community and Assisted Living settings. Amy also has experience as an MTM provider in a memory clinic. In addition, Amy performs medication reviews for patients in the long-term care setting, and is a resource to the nurse practitioners, doctors, and case managers that work with Fairview Partners and Geriatric Services.
