In this session, the evidence behind several complementary/alternative medication and non-medication treatments for adult depression and anxiety are discussed. Attendees walk away with the ability to employ such treatments as adjunct treatments to standard antidepressants and counseling/therapy.

- Ā To understand the indications for, dosing of, and potential side effects of medicinal supplements in the treatment of depression/anxiety.
- Ā To come away with the ability to employ complementary/alternative non-pharmacologic treatments for depression/anxiety treatment.
Amanda E. Olagunju, DO, Capt, USAFFamily Medicine Physician, Langley Air Force Base Virginia.
Dr. Olagunju is an osteopathic Family Medicine physician who is also active duty within the U.S. Air Force. She received her residency training through a joint program between Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska and University of Nebraska Medical Center. She is currently stationed at Langley Air Force Base Hospital in Virginia, where she serves as the PCM to several hundred Air Force members. She has a special interest in mental health, which drives her research.
